AITSL standards and evidence

Throughout my teaching experiences, I have had opportunities to develop and demonstrate the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers at the Graduate level. This page shares examples of my practice and the experiences that have helped shape me as a beginning teacher. My evidence is organised across the three areas of Professional Knowledge, Professional Practice and Professional Engagement, showing how I have applied the standards within real classroom and school settings.

Professional knowledge

Meeting Standards 1 and 2 by understanding diverse learners and curriculum delivery. My work showcases tailored differentiation strategies designed to support neurodiverse learners and varying literacy levels. By understanding student backgrounds and developmental stages, I design sequences that ensure every child can access Australian Curriculum content meaningfully and successfully.

Professional practice

Fulfilling Standards 3, 4, and 5 through effective planning, safe learning environments, and comprehensive assessment. Key evidence includes student work samples demonstrating measurable growth before and after a targeted poetry unit. By analysing formative and summative data, I adapt my instruction in real time to scaffold student achievement and build genuine engagement.

Professional engagement

Demonstrating Standards 6 and 7 through ongoing reflection, professional learning, and constructive relationships with school communities. Incorporating student voice and mentor feedback into my daily practice ensures continuous growth.
